Prostate Cancer Support Thunder Bay

Prostate Cancer Support Thunder Bay is a volunteer based, non-profit organization that originated in 1994. We are a non-profit organization run by prostate cancer survivors who help other men diagnosed with this disease, and their families.

An excellent awareness program providing an overview of prostate cancer is available for community groups.

CMHA Mental Health Services

CMHA recognizes that societal pressures and stigma may make it difficult for men to seek help for their mental health and addictions issues. CMHA Thunder Bay Branch offers a 24/7 mental health phone line for the entire Northwestern Ontario Region. Anyone residing from Kenora east to Wawa can access the regional crisis phone line 24/7. Trained staff are available to respond to calls or texts to listen, provide support and assist in finding solutions and offering resources to all incoming calls with their primary focus on assessment and mitigation of risk.

The Gay Men’s Sexual Health Alliance (GMSH) champions the health of 2SGBTQ+ men in Ontario. We lead in developing sexual health promotion resources and collaborate with HIV service organizations and other service providers in Ontario to ensure 2SGBTQ+ men have the information, supports, and services they need to have the sex they want.
