Come join us on Monday, June 09, 2025, at 7 AM for a fun and informative event at the Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre in the Embassy Ballroom.

Our Pride Youth Awareness breakfast creates awareness of Canadian Pride history, what teens and young 2slgbtqi+ adults are facing and raises funds for Thunder Pride Association’s parade and festival, as well as enabling more programming, events and advocacy throughout the year.

We’re thrilled to share that the Day of Pink team will be in Thunder Bay on June 9 for the Thunder Bay Pride Breakfast, and we’re bringing some very special guests with us—Adrienne Rosen a legendary activist from the historic Brunswick Four.

Back in 1974, Adrienne —along with Lamar Van Dyke, Pat Murphy and Sue Wells—stood up against harassment at Toronto’s Brunswick House tavern, turning a moment of discrimination into an unforgettable act of resistance. Their bold performance of “I Enjoy Being a Dyke” sparked a police response that would become one of the first nationally recognized instances of lesbian discrimination in Canada, igniting a wave of awareness and activism that helped shape today’s Pride movements—including Dyke Marches and Dykes on Bikes.
