We want to let you know that Thunder Pride is hosting its annual Pride Youth Awareness Brunch (not longer an insane 7am morning breakfast before school!) at the Airlane Hotel on Sunday June 2nd 2024 at 11:30am – 2pm.

We have had great success for 14 years inviting different GSA groups of students and their teachers to present at the breakfast. We would love to invite you to join us at this year’s event!

We have had many different kinds of presentations: power and privilege activity with making necklaces based on a self-assessment quiz, talks on mental health, Kahoot pride trivia, sharing personal stories, 2 Spirit Journeys, and more! We are excited to give you the opportunity to hear what they experience; joys, fears and hopes as a 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in Thunder Bay.

The audience is made up of youth group leaders, school board officials and staff, college and university officials and staff, health unit and SAGE leaders, city councillors, provincial leaders(MPs, MPPs), health providers and others: the people who make decisions and advocate for the youth in our area. This is your chance to let them hear their voices, and show their leadership going forward after graduation!
